Summary
Join our female-led decorating and plastering business in Maidstone and train as an apprentice through the McKenzie Plastering & Decorating Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a trade, gain real on-the-job experience, and work towards a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 qualification.
You’ll be working alongside experienced decorators, learning skills such as:
• Painting and wallpapering
• Plastering and surface preparation
• Health & safety on-site
• Customer service and teamwork
Location: Maidstone, Kent (work across Kent)
Hours: Full time (30–40 hours per week)
Wage: £6.40+ per hour (Apprentice Rate – with potential increase for the right candidate)
Duration: 18 months
Training: NVQ Level 2 Painting & Decorating (day release at college – provider confirmed once enrolled)
Requirements:
• No experience needed – training provided
• Must be reliable, willing to learn, and motivated
• Female applicants encouraged as part of our mission to support women in trades
• Must be able to travel to sites around Maidstone/Kent
