Summary

We are looking for Casual Cleaners to join our Cleaning Team!

Our Cleaners are responsible for the cleaning of Wiltshire Creative’s two sites: Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre ensuring that both premises are cleaned regularly and maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Cleaning & Hygiene
• To be responsible for cleaning Wiltshire Creative’s premises comprising offices,
theatres, dressing rooms, rehearsal room, community space and foyer areas,
involving cleaning floors, vacuuming, dusting and cleaning surfaces, emptying
bins and replacing bin liners.
• To clean toilets backstage and in the public areas, including replenishing soap,
hand towel and toilet roll dispensers.
• To clean and tidy performance spaces and public areas before and after shows
to maintain a high standard of presentation.
• To ensure building cleanliness is the required standard as directed by the
Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor.
• To be aware of Health and Safety matters relating to COSHH and the safe use
of cleaning products at all times.
• To be aware of basic hygiene requirements and ensure best practice at all
times.
• To monitor stock levels and advise the Facilities & Cleaning Coordinator of any
ordering requirements.

General

• To always act in the best interests of Wiltshire Creative

About You

• You will be able to work alone on shifts or as part of a team as required.
• You will possess awareness of hygiene matters and the standards required for
a public building
• You must be responsible and reliable
• You will be proactive in identifying cleaning needs as they arise
• You must be able to work unsocial hours, particularly evenings and weekends,
with occasional early mornings, and able to work during busy periods, such as
December holidays
• Previous experience of cleaning and maintaining a busy public building would
be beneficial but not essential as training can be given
