We are seeking to employ a reliable and efficient technician to provide practical support for the teaching of food within the academy. The food department is a small supportive and friendly team who are committed to developing all members of their staff.

Working three days per week, the post would involve support for students in lessons, in addition to food preparation and cleaning within the department. Experience of working with students and the possession of a food hygiene certificate would be preferable, although full training will be provided.

Macmillan Academy is situated in Middlesbrough on Teesside and was rated good by Ofsted in the most recent inspection. We have over 1500 students on roll, including 300 in Post 16. Our strong reputation for academic success is matched by our desire to provide a holistic education for every student.
