The University of South Wales is a vibrant University nestled in the beautiful Welsh hills with campuses in Treforest, Newport and Cardiff. Catering Services is a support service within Estates and Facilities, primarily responsible for providing catering and hospitality for staff and students.

Join Our Team as a Hospitality and Events Assistant – Based in Cardiff

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Hospitality and Events Assistant to join our team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your catering experience and be part of a welcoming, supportive team.

In this role, you'll:

· Use your catering skills to prepare and serve fresh, high-quality food and beverages

· Deliver outstanding service with a smile, ensuring every customer feels valued

· Operate tills and handle transactions with accuracy and confidence

· Be a key ambassador for our department, helping to create a positive and professional environment

This is a part time (30hour x 44weeks of the year) 12-month fixed term position, you’ll generally work Monday to Friday between 7.30am – 5.30pm, some weekend will be required.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges. If you are an internal professional services candidate, you will continue to be employed by the University of South Wales/ RWCMD.
