Summary
As Energy Efficiency Project Officer, you will contribute to the develop of the councils Decarbonisation Strategy and Action Plan. The role will also involve analysing energy and housing data to identify trends, assess project impact, and support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external partners, and residents to implement energy efficiency measures, secure funding, and monitor progress toward our net-zero goals.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Assist in the development of the councils Decarbonisation Strategy and Action Plan.
contributing towards decarbonisation projects across council housing stock.
Support the development and delivery of retrofit programmes, including insulation, heating upgrades, and renewable technologies.
Monitor project performance, budgets, and compliance with funding requirements.
Engage with tenants and stakeholders to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
Contributing to funding bids and reporting for government funded schemes.
Applicants should ideally have experience in project delivery within the housing decarbonisation sector, with an understanding of retrofit, low carbon technologies and fuel poverty. Strong IT skills are essential with the ability to use databases to manage, monitor and analyse data effectively. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting is also essential.
