Summary

Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN/RMN) – Luxury Nursing Home

Up to £50,000 | 40 Hours per week, Monday-Friday

A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join a luxury nursing home dedicated to providing exceptional care for older adults, including those living with dementia and complex needs.

This role is ideal for a Registered General Nurse (RGN – Adult) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who thrives in leadership, has strong clinical skills, and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of person-centred care. Working closely with the Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a warm, inclusive environment where residents and staff feel valued.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN – Adult or RMN) with active NMC registration.
  • Proven leadership experience within a nursing home or similar care environment.
  • Strong clinical skills, including care planning, safeguarding, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Experience of regulatory inspections (CQC) and compliance standards in nursing care.
  • A commitment to inclusive, person-centred care and professional development.
  • Additional training in dementia care or advanced clinical skills (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire nursing and care teams, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Deliver and oversee safe, compassionate, and individualised care tailored to residents’ needs and preferences.
  • Assist in managing daily operations, including staffing, medication management, and risk assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalised care plans in partnership with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor, support, and train team members, encouraging career growth and clinical excellence.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and staff performance to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, infection control, safeguarding protocols, and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to audits, quality monitoring, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Work alongside the Nurse Manager to enhance the overall resident experience and quality of care.
