Functional Skills Tutor

Hours: Part-Time, Permanent, (20 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 8:30am – 4:30 pm flexible)

Location: Handsworth, Birmingham

Salary: £22,500 - £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor looking for a new role?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor.

Achieve UK Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 10 years in Study Programmes.


As a Functional Skills Tutor you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both, Maths, English and ICT up to Level 2. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

Key Responsibilities:
• Delivery of Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT up to Level 2.
• Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
• Achieve UK company Individual Performance Plan
• Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals
• Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
• Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
• Regularly assess learners' work.

Requirements:
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2
• A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
• Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS
• Passion & desire to teach
• Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary.

Full, clean UK Driving License is desirable
