Summary

Link3 is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our friendly and welcoming nursery team in Battersea. This is an ideal role for someone with excellent management skills, a deep passion for early years education, and the drive to deliver outstanding childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
• Lead and inspire your team to deliver high-quality learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Act as the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) when required, ensuring all policies are followed and concerns are escalated appropriately.
• Take responsibility for staff supervision, mentoring, and performance management, fostering a positive and professional working culture.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring excellent communication and support for every child’s individual development.
• Oversee planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and curiosity.
• Contribute to nursery improvement plans, audits, and Ofsted preparation to maintain high standards across the setting.
• Manage administrative tasks such as staff rotas, attendance, and record-keeping efficiently.
• Support with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
• Step in to cover for the Nursery Manager when required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of deputy management experience in a nursery setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A positive role model with the ability to motivate and inspire both staff and children.
