Summary
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
· Provide Private Secretary support to the Director. This will involve accompanying them to meetings, providing official readouts of what was discussed, disseminating information across the organisation, following up on actions and decisions, triaging incoming issues using clear judgement to escalate or manage appropriately and providing clear written and verbal advice in a high-pressure environment. (50%)
· Preparation of day packs and meeting papers for Director, working with senior colleagues to ensure high quality and robust advice is provided in a timely manner. (10%)
· Prioritising and highlighting incoming tasks and meetings to ensure both the best use of the director’s time and efficient, rapid communication across the team and wider business area. (10%)
· Triaging the mailboxes, prioritising incoming work and providing initial responses where appropriate. (10%)
· An opportunity to develop policy expertise by working flexibly across teams, in high profile, cross cutting areas, to help the directorate achieve it’s priority objectives through innovation and sound judgement.(10%)
· Oversight of diary and correspondence management. (10%)
