Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Geography to lead this key area of our curriculum from January or April. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our outstanding school, which has a strong reputation for academic achievement and enrichment across the Humanities.

The successful candidate will have the vision, ambition and innovation to manage and further develop the department, ensuring that Geography continues to flourish and inspire pupils at all levels. There will also be opportunities to design and lead a varied programme of field trips and visits, both locally and further afield, to enhance students’ learning and bring the subject to life.

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

• A genuine passion for teaching Geography
• Commitment to promoting high-quality teaching and learning within the department
• The ability to inspire students and promote Geography across the wider curriculum
• Experience of teaching Geography to A level standard.

This is an exciting leadership role for a motivated and dynamic teacher to shape the future of Geography in our school community.
