Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
This role is ideal if you are excited to:
• Deliver engaging, challenging lessons that spark curiosity and deepen understanding.
• Contribute to a highly collaborative department that thrives on sharing practice and supporting each other.
• Help shape our students into confident, resilient learners who are ready for the challenges of the future.
If you’re a teacher who is ready to take the next step in your career, passionate about the power of Science, and eager to make a difference in the heart of Westminster, we would love to hear from you.
What the school offers its staff
Westminster Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join our vibrant and supportive department. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to teach in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with a strong Chemistry specialism or real confidence in delivering Chemistry across KS3–KS5. Your expertise will play a vital role in inspiring students and driving achievement across the subject.
Commitment to safeguarding
We expect all staff to share our commitment to safeguarding. A professional social media check may take place to identify a candidate's online presence to look for negative behaviours such as bullying, racism, nudity and excessive bad language. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020, as the work brings employees into contact with children who are regarded by the Act as a vulnerable group. Applicants for any role at WA must disclose all convictions.
