What We’re Looking For
- Mental Health Nurse qualification and valid UK NMC Pin
- Post-registration experience working in inpatient mental health settings is required.
- Strong clinical skills: mental health assessments, risk management, crisis intervention.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to person-centred care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective mental health care to patients in an acute hospital ward, participating in both day and night shifts.
- Conduct assessments, monitor risk, plan, implement and evaluate care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medication, observe patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Build therapeutic, person-centred relationships with patients and support their recovery journey.
- Maintain clear, accurate patient records and documentation under NMC standards.
- Support ward routines, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Participate in ward handovers, clinical supervision, audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
