Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Salary: £39,500-£43,500

What We’re Looking For

  • Mental Health Nurse qualification and valid UK NMC Pin
  • Post-registration experience working in inpatient mental health settings is required.
  • Strong clinical skills: mental health assessments, risk management, crisis intervention.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective mental health care to patients in an acute hospital ward, participating in both day and night shifts.
  • Conduct assessments, monitor risk, plan, implement and evaluate care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer medication, observe patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Build therapeutic, person-centred relationships with patients and support their recovery journey.
  • Maintain clear, accurate patient records and documentation under NMC standards.
  • Support ward routines, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in ward handovers, clinical supervision, audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
