Summary

Specialist Teaching Assistant -Thrive (Nurture Provision) required from 3rd November 2025 to 31st August 2026 (maternity cover)
The Governing Body of Fitzalan High School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant - Thrive practitioner (maternity cover) to join our enthusiastic, dedicated and ambitious team and be part of our continued drive for excellence in the Nurture provision.
Fitzalan High is a truly unique school with high aspirations and excellent outcomes for learners. Over the past ten years and more, Fitzalan High has been on a journey of continuous improvement, achieving excellent outcomes for pupils, and in September 2023 moving into a state-of-the-art new building truly fit for the 21st Century. The Estyn inspection report November 2024, recognised that the school provides its pupils with a highly caring, nurturing and inclusive environment. It is particularly effective in establishing a culture that celebrates its notably diverse community. This helps to foster positive attitudes towards diversity, equity and the understanding of different cultures and backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed person with the desire to support our pupils to be the best that they can be. Ideally, they will be a Thrive practitioner who will have a good understanding of attachment theory and the skills needed to work with our pupils to develop their resilience, confidence and social skills. A strong commitment to continuous improvement of provision is vital, as is a desire to be part of our drive for excellence.
