Hours: 42.5 per week, 5/6 days over 7 (alternating shifts)

Job Introduction

  • Ensuring laundry deliveries are received, checked, and distributed across wards and departments.

  • Maintaining agreed stock levels of clean linen and responding quickly to emergency requests.

  • Collecting and sealing used linen for safe processing.

  • Completing accurate records and paperwork to support hospital operations.

  • Supporting wider portering duties when required – including transporting specimens, goods, medical gases, and equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow schedules.

  • Flexible, reliable, and motivated with a professional approach.

  • Willingness to work unsocial hours as part of a rotating shift pattern.
