Your role:
As the Be Well Membership Financial controller, working alongside the Be Well Membership Manager and the Council Finance team you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration processes relating to the management of direct debit collections and associated debt collection.
You will also form part of the Membership team, that works within the Be Well Support Hub dealing with and responding to a full range of Be Well membership enquires and sales and contribute to the effective retention of our members. As a Be Well Membership Finance officer you will also support a wider range of enquiries including Be Well app and customer portal registrations, wellbeing programmes, party and activity bookings and general Leisure Centre enquiries via phone but also via other routes such as e-mail and web chat.
Shift patterns vary, Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 18:00pm and alternate Saturday’s 10:00am 15:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required to support outreach activity. The role is predominantly based within the Be Well office in the Wigan Life Centre.
About you:
The ideal person for this role will have experience of working within a fast paced, dynamic team and can deliver excellent customer service.
You will ideally have previous financial work experience, particularly centred around Direct Debit collection and debt collection.
You will ideally have experience of working with a sales culture and will display a passion and drive to achieve targets set.
You will be able to work to strict deadlines and have a fine eye for detail and be able to analyse large sets of data.
Have good knowledge of computer systems including experience of inputting and extracting data, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing packages and email is key to this role.
Demonstrated experience of working with a contact centre approach to telephone calls and utilising call management software.
You will have good organisational, verbal and written communication skills as well as experience of providing admin support to a range of business areas.
The role at times is demanding, so experience of working in a customer service environment is beneficial and you can identify problems and seek effective solutions.
