Summary
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000
Shift: Tuesday to Friday Nights, 18:00 – 06:00 (48 hours per week, including paid break)

You'll maintain and repair a wide range of HGVs and trailers to DVSA and manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities of HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:
Service and repair HGVs and trailers to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
Attend breakdowns or customer sites for on-the-spot repairs
Collaborate with the parts department to get components fast
Complete all job cards and service paperwork precisely and on time
Adhere to health and safety policies and maintain a tidy workspace
Keep up to date with the latest vehicle tech through ongoing training
Essential Requirements for HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Relevant technical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and teamworking abilities
Sound knowledge of workshop safety and compliance
