Plumbing Lecturer

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Plumbing Lecturer to join our construction team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in plumbing and heating, helping learners gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in plumbing and heating at various levels.
  • Develop course materials, schemes of work, and assessment resources in line with awarding body standards.
  • Support learners in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical competence.
  • Track and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain high standards of health & safety in workshops.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with employers and industry to ensure training remains relevant and up to date.
About You
  • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing (essential).
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/33) is desirable.
  • Strong industry background with current knowledge of plumbing practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to supporting and motivating learners from all backgrounds.
