What is the job role?
This opportunity calls for an enthusiastic and motivated individual. A natural self-starter with a can-do attitude, coordinates and develops support for Hongkongers who have come to the UK via the British National Overseas (BNO) Visa route to enable them to settle and integrate successfully into life in Coventry. You will ideally have experience in making claims and supporting project administration, and in having worked on grant-funded programmes. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines. Knowledge of Cantonese would be an advantage.

Candidates with similar experience in other sectors with transferable skills will also be considered.

The post will be 22 hours a week for 18 months.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and a commitment to inclusion

  • Knowledge of Cantonese (advantageous but not essential)
