Summary

MEP Site Manager

We are seeking a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Site Manager to join our team for a new extension project on a Hospital. This is a contract role, with a start date at the beginning of October 2025.

You will play a key role in the construction of a new day case surgery and imaging center, which will include a new radiology department and integrated theaters.

We are open to candidates with strong experience in either mechanical or electrical disciplines.

  • Contract Type: Umbrella / PAYE only, £300-£320 per day (however rate is negotiable)

Key Duties

  • Overseeing MEP Installations: Supervising and coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on the construction site. This includes ensuring installations are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Making sure that all work is carried out in strict accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies. This includes conducting safety inspections and ensuring workers are following safe practices.
  • Quality Control: Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings to maintain quality control. This involves ensuring that all work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Managing Subcontractors and Teams: Coordinating and supervising the MEP site team and subcontractors. This includes motivating the workforce, providing guidance, and resolving any issues that arise on-site.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitoring the progress of the MEP work and reporting back to the Project Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying potential problems and finding solutions to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Liaising with Stakeholders: Communicating effectively with the Project Team, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution and integration of the MEP systems.
