Summary

Finance Assistant | Hybrid (Bristol office min. 1 day/week, WFH balance) | Full time (37.5 hrs) or Part time (min. 22.5 hrs/week) | 6-month FTC (with potential to extend) | Up to £32K (Pro Rata)

Our client is the professional body for the healthcare finance profession. They provide their members with practical resources, insightful thought leadership, CPD opportunities, and access to an influential network that shapes the future of healthcare finance.

They’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their supportive and collaborative finance team.

The Finance Assistant Role:

As Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our finance function, working closely with colleagues across HFMA. From maintaining accurate ledgers to managing banking activities, you’ll ensure our financial records are reliable and up to date.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

• Importing weekly sales invoices from our web-based system
• Generating and issuing invoices in line with company procedures
• Managing daily banking activities and reconciliations
• Processing purchase ledger transactions and payment runs
• Supporting monthly account reconciliations
• Uploading and processing expenses in Sage Line 50
• Providing general support to the finance team and wider organisation

About You:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a finance role or part-AAT qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A positive, flexible, team-focused attitude

Desirable (but not essential):

• Knowledge of the NHS and its finance/governance frameworks
