Summary

A Vacancy at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


This is fixed term post and the successful candidate would need to be familiar with the following IT systems that are used to provide the service: Medisoft/MediSIGHT, Netcall Liberty Converse, Cerner Millenium EPR, Microsoft Teams and 365. A familiarity of Oxfordshire MECS service is also required.




• To work closely within the eye casualty team to deliver a comprehensive telephone triage service to highest standards of quality and care andmakingautonomous decisions using clinical and diagnostic ophthalmic knowledge and experience.


• To work within your level of competency and within eye hospital guidelines seeking advicefrom andsenior colleagues, asrequired, for safe practice.

• Toutilisea range of IT systems to access phoneline, multiple electronic patient records systems and record relevant findings and triage outcome management plans.

• Liaise with community optometry colleagues, GPs,ophthalmologistand other professional groups, as needed, oncase by casebasis.

• Toworkefficientlytomaximisethenumberofcallsactionedeachsession.

• To undertake administrative duties as agreed by Line Manager relevant to Telephone triage role.

• Toparticipatein and contribute asrequiredto teaching and training relating to role.

• Undertakeclinicalauditasrequired.
