Fixed term: 12 months
Full time: 35 hours per week
The opportunity:
As a Key member of our thriving Graduate School, the post holder would be the first point of contact for research students and staff in the School of Mathematics. They will provide advice and guidance on all aspects of the PhD application process, on-course procedures and support for our PhD, MSc by Research and Centre for Doctoral Training Programmes.
They will deliver high quality and effective services to staff, PhD students, and potential students. They will keep abreast of changes to policy, regulations and procedures in order to provide accurate and helpful advice to customers. They will also have significant involvement in event organisation and will be responsible for tutor payments within the School.
With excellent organisational, interpersonal and IT skills they will be self-motivated, personable and able to manage multiple competing demands and work to ensure deadlines are met. An ability to use initiative and be proactive is essential. They will have a strongly developed sense of service delivery and a student focused approach.
They will be joining a vibrant team of people and offered developmental opportunities to grow a flourish in the role.
This full-time fixed term post will involve a mixture of office and home working.
