About the Role
We are looking for a reliable Dispatch Operative with Counterbalance Forklift experience to join a busy metal fabrication and distribution environment. Working in both the warehouse and yard, you'll play a key role in the movement of goods, ensuring products are safely loaded, unloaded, and prepared for dispatch.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced setting, offering long-term security and excellent earning potential through daily and weekend overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift trucks to load and unload metal products.
- Handle goods in and goods out, including booking in deliveries and preparing dispatch paperwork.
- Work in the yard and warehouse/factory, ensuring stock is stored safely and organised efficiently.
- Assist with sorting and preparing orders for collections and deliveries.
- Follow health & safety guidelines at all times to ensure safe handling of materials.
- Support wider warehouse and yard duties as required.
- Previous Forklift Counterbalance experience is essential (in a warehouse or yard setting).
- Valid Counterbalance licence (expired tickets can be refreshed).
- Experience handling metal products or heavy goods preferred.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.
- Good team player with a proactive approach.
- Flexible with overtime availability.
