Summary

Maintenance Engineer (Facilities)

8:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday
Permanent Position

We're seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Reading. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and keeping things running like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
* Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
* Conduct routine inspections and safety checks
* Support facility upgrades, refurbishments, and installations
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
* Liaise with contractors and suppliers when needed
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management

What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a residential or commercial setting
* Qualifications including:
- IPAF and PASMA
- City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 236 / 2360 / 2365 / 2000 / 2330 / 2397 or equivalent EAL electrical qualification
- City & Guilds 2391 or City & Guilds 2394 / 5 or EAL equivalent
- City & Guilds 2377 - Portable Appliance Testing
- Clear DBS Check
* Strong knowledge of statutory testing
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
* Full UK driving licence (to travel between sites)
