Staffline is recruiting Hygiene Operatives in London.
The rate of pay is:
- Days £12.21 per hour
- Nights £13.73 per hour
This role is ad-hoc, you must be available to work weekdays, weekends, days and nights, more than 20 hours per week and the hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm
- 6pm to 6am
A driving licence is only required if you live in an area not easily reachable by public transport (e.g. no direct bus route). Applicants must be able to arrive on time for shifts, so reliable travel is essential.
Your Time at Work
As a Hygiene Operative, your job is to help keep the bakery clean, safe, and ready for work. You will clean different parts of the site, including the Hovis production area and all machines and equipment used in baking.
Your main tasks include:
- Cleaning all areas of the bakery, including floors, walls, machines, and work surfaces. Special attention must be given to the Hovis area and the equipment used there.
- Following cleaning instructions carefully. You will be shown how to clean properly and safely.
- Filling out cleaning forms to show what you have cleaned and when. These forms must be completed correctly and on time.
- Using cleaning tools and chemicals safely. You will be trained to use the right products for each job.
- Helping during customer visits and inspections. You may be asked to show your cleaning work or explain what you do.
- Doing some lifting and moving. This includes carrying cleaning equipment, moving bins, or handling other items.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in either a hot or cold environment. You will show awareness of the importance of health and safety.
Is physically flexible - able to bend, stretch, lift, and move comfortably during cleaning tasks.
Has a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, COSHH training, and Manual Handling training.
Is flexible with working hours and tasks - able to work different shifts and help in various areas when needed.
