Summary
Are you an experienced Production Cook / Kitchen Assistant looking for work in the Telford (TF7) area? We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our client who is growing pet food manufacture, this is a tempo to perm position for the right candidate.
Our client has a fantastic new purpose-built factory and are recruiting due to constant growth within the business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Job duties:
• Weighing out ingredients.
• Ability to follow a flow sheet, which in essence is a recipe card and be physically able to prepare and lift ingredients into a kettle.
• Measure, mix, and combine various ingredients to create consistent and balanced pet food recipes.
• Cooking of ingredients in large kettles by following the specific cooking process.
• Ability to follow processes and challenge any issues.
• Attention to detail.
• Great communication skills.
Experience
• Previous experience in a fast paced environment
• Previous experience as a chef / cook would be beneficial
• Must be able to carry out manual handling throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Basic numeracy skills for accurate counting and labelling of products
Hours of work:
• Monday to Friday
• Afternoon Shift: 14:00 till 22:30
Rate of pay:
• £12.25 per hour
