Summary
We are looking for companion to help an active 74-year-old male who is looking for support to go out and about. Our client is registered blind in one eye and partially sighted in the other, deaf and has vascular dementia. He enjoys going out for lunches, trying new things and has a keen interest in ice hockey and Tim Hortons.
Our client needs someone to accompany him outside and help him to enjoy life again. Part of this role will also be assisting our client to appointments and general companionship. These hours can be flexible for a day or 2 out per week but this can be discussed in more detail at interview.
We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the client to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
