Online Business - Middleweight Digital Designer: Marketplace focus

As a Digital Designer in Superdrug your days will be varied delivering outstanding work across our digital platform including creating banner ads, landing pages and email designs from design to code. You could be working on sitewide redesigns, blog revamps or creating a new look and feel for our app landing page. You will need to have strong skills in HTML & CSS and have a passion for creating dynamic user experience.

This role is specifically responsible for designing and maintaining content across all Marketplace categories, including our recently launched Fashion, and providing design support to our Corporate, PR and Marketing teams. Also, you will play a key role in supporting the Online Business Trading Strategy delivering exciting assets to execute our ambitious Event Calendar.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain engaging and visually appealing content for Superdrug.com across all Marketplace categories and key assigned Superdrug categories.
Provide design support for Corporate, PR and Marketing, across platforms and channels.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with Superdrug's visual identity.
Work on SAP Hybris platform to create and update digital content.
Ensure all designs are optimised for web and mobile devices, with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital design and e-commerce.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall user experience on Superdrug.com.
Translating the business unit commercial plan into innovative and highly commercial web pages and emails.
Continually create and evaluate banners, web pages and emails to ensure they are consistent with the brand tone of voice and competitive across the H&B industry.

Skills required & Experience

Excellent graphic design skills - Strong portfolio showcasing your skills and previous work on digital platforms.
Strong development skills in HTML and CSS for emails and landing pages
Highly skilled in Adobe CC specifically Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver and possibly Figma.
Skills in animation & video (After Effects, Premiere), illustration, presentation, and publishing applications would be a bonus.
Understanding of eCommerce UX/UI principles and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Experience working with a CMS and Google Analytics is desirable
