Deputy Nursery Manager
Salary: Up to £35,000
Are you an experienced early years professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership of our client’s vibrant and nurturing early years setting.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You’ll help maintain high standards of care and education, support staff development, and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and child-centred environment.
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to inspire and support a team. This role is ideal for a current Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Deputy seeking a rewarding opportunity with scope to grow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or senior nursery role
- Good knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- A positive, proactive, and hands-on approach to supporting children and staff

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager with the effective daily operations of the nursery
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality childcare and education
- Ensure the safeguarding, welfare, and development of all children
- Assist with staffing, rotas, and occupancy levels
- Help drive continuous improvement and contribute towards strong Ofsted outcomes
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
