Are you a recent graduate who is looking to develop a career in HR? Do you want to progress within HR and gain professional HR qualifications?
United Colleges Group, formed in 2017, has continued to provide strong education and skills support to the c16,000 learners who we serve every year. We have around 1,000 dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic staff who always put the needs of our students first and we are now looking for a HR Administrator to join our cohort of dedicated staff.
We are seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our support staff at United Colleges Group. We are a forward-thinking education provider and our mission is to deliver outstanding, world class education and skills.
There is currently an opportunity for a skilled administrator to be part of the HR team and work with us while working to advance a career in HR. It is an exciting time to join the Group as you will play a pivotal role of supporting managers and staff as we shape the future culture of UCG.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and highly efficient, organised person with the ability to work as part of a team and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, who will be the first point of contact for queries to the department. This is a varied role providing support to the HR team on various tasks such as recruitment and selection, payroll, and general administration duties such as minute taking of union, disciplinary and grievance meetings along with filing and maintaining HR databases.
While no former HR experience is necessary for this role, the successful applicant will be proactive, and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, you will also have an eye for detail and will need to be able to demonstrate initiative in your work. You must have a good working knowledge of IT including the use of word processing, spreadsheet packages and the ability to learn and use an HR computer-based record system.
A CIPD qualification is not essential as you will be supported with working towards this qualification as part of your development.
In return, the Group offers generous annual leave, a defined-benefit pension scheme, an interest-free season ticket loan, cycle scheme, free sight tests, enhanced maternity and paternity leave schemes and many other benefits.
Please note that we may close the application prior to the listed date should sufficient applicants be received.
The College is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to full-vetting procedures including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
