Summary

Your new company
You will be joining an established Tier 1 civil engineering contractor operating within the highways industry. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor has been appointed to deliver a major, long-term highways project in Didcot (including dual carriageway, new bridges and viaduct) on top of their already healthy orderbook, and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the industry, and due to continued success, they are actively seeking a Site Engineer to join their team.


Your new role
As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing setting out and surveying duties
  • Reviewing drawings and quantities for accuracy
  • Scheduling materials and coordinating with procurement
  • Planning and organising site operations to meet deadlines
  • Supervising site labour and subcontractor performance
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE standards
  • Maintaining quality records and resolving technical issues
  • Arranging and conducting material testing and instrument calibration
  • Maintaining a detailed site diary.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within the civil engineering industry, ideally working on highways, rail or public realm projects
  • Strong setting out and surveying skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • CSCS and First Aid certificate
  • Full UK driving licence.
