About the Role - 1:1 Support Worker

As a 1:1 Support Worker, you’ll provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs—helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop independence. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities - 1:1 Support Worker

• Provide personalised 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships to encourage learning and development.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs, including sensory and communication support.
• Encourage social interaction, confidence, and independence in both learning and play.
• Work with teachers and professionals to monitor progress and support EHCP targets.

The Ideal Candidate - 1:1 Support Worker

• A graduate or someone with relevant experience in SEN, psychology, or education.
• Calm, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting children with autism, SEMH, or other additional needs.
• A resilient, empathetic team player who can provide consistent support.
