You'll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a key function within the Finance community of LBG. We're a team of c.300 colleagues, with responsibilities including financial reporting and control, people and culture initiatives and strategy implementation.
The team is at the start of a significant Transformation journey, and you'll be part of influencing, designing and implementing Finance Transformation over the next 5 years, both within GFS and beyond!
You'll lead on particular projects within financial control and reporting for the Head of Finance Transactions, GCT & Investment. As a Senior Manager you'll role model strong financial control behaviours; influence key senior partners and contribute to broader strategic direction and business decision making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
Day to day your accountabilities will include:

Establishing effective relationships with stakeholders and partners across GFS and Business finance teams, including presenting at senior level meetings and supporting strategic aims

Leading project work to enhance and drive a strong financial control & risk framework across the team

Leading project work to help shape the operating model within the team

Leading project work to find opportunities to develop and implement automation and process improvements that strengthen our control framework and increase the effectiveness of our time and processes.

Actively contribute to the GFS extended leadership team by driving activity on one of our people pillars.

What you'll need:
A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or have alternatively gained a similar level of expertise acquired through substantial experience (c10 years) in a finance function

Excellent communicator, able to influence and articulate complex issues, building strong diverse working relationships across different parts of the Group

Passion for Financial control and reporting and questioning mentality

Experience of leading and developing a team

Strong background of delivery and driving continuous improvement against a constantly evolving landscape

Bring a problem-solving approach with the ability to challenge and constructively debate key issues

Works collaboratively with a diverse group of partners, utilising well-developed relationship skills

Ability to assess the impact of change on products, systems, processes and people.
It's desirable that you have experience in power automate and/or power query or other automation tools where you have made effective process, control and cultural changes.
