Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods between locations in a timely and efficient manner. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, while maintaining excellent communication with both clients and warehouse staff.
Responsibilities:
Operate a van to deliver packages and documents to various destinations.
Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all packages are handled with care.
Perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading process.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each shift.
Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.
Requirements:
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
Good organisational skills to ensure timely deliveries and accurate record keeping.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, particularly in navigating delivery challenges.
