Summary
I am looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential care service, providing high-quality support for children and young people. This is a full-time permanent role based in Ashford, Kent, with a salary of £28,660-£33,025 per annum.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

Support the educational, social, emotional, and behavioural development of children and young people.

Assist with implementing Individual Care Plans and monitor progress.

Provide personal care and help children/young people develop independence.

Participate in residential duties, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

Maintain accurate records of children/young people's progress and daily routines.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals, and management to ensure high standards of care.

Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people - essential.

Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Full, clean UK driving licence - essential.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Strong communication, empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to supporting and safeguarding young people.
