Summary
Rampton Hospital is one of the three high secure forensic hospitals serving the population of England and Wales. Rampton Hospital also houses the only high secure service for women in the United Kingdom; this service also accepts referrals from Scotland and Northern Ireland. Situated in rural North Nottinghamshire, six miles from Retford, the hospital employs approximately 1800 staff. There are four services within the hospital: (mens) Mental Health Service, National Learning Disability Service, the Mens Personality Disorder Service, and the National Womens Service. The Mental Health Service includes the National High Secure Deaf Service. The catchment area for the Mental Health Service covers the northeast and east of England. The post holder will have incidental contact with patients who are a risk to themselves and others and require treatment in a secure hospital. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment.
