Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our client in the Ashton Under Lyne area on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong CNC experience, particularly with OSAI controllers, who is looking to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Salary is c£29,000 - 31,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in line with company safety standards and maintain a clean, organised workspace following 5S principles.
Operate and set up 3-axis CNC routing machines for 2D sheet metal components.
Carry out 5-axis machining tasks, including fixture/jig setup and tool datum setting.
Set up and operate CNC punching machines, working with materials between 0.6mm and 2mm.
Perform tool changes and tool setting as required.
Desirable Experience:
Operating OSAI CNC controllers (essential skill – minimal training provided).
Experience with Fanuc controllers for punching operations.
Knowledge of cutting aluminium materials, VWM/Technos 38, and CMS machines.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, including Radan, AlphaCAM, and Catia V5.
