Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced HR People and Organisational Development Partner to join a respected organisation in Truro.

This is a senior-level leadership role, offering a unique opportunity to shape people strategy, lead transformation, and support the development of high-performing teams. You will act as the lead specialist across People Strategy, Organisational Development (OD), Employee Relations (ER), Recruitment, Retention, and Learning & Development.

Key Duties:
  • Lead the delivery of the People and OD strategy within your designated area.
  • Provide expert advice across all HR, OD, and employee relations matters.
  • Manage complex ER cases including performance management, grievances, and tribunal matters.
  • Drive workforce planning, organisational design, and talent development initiatives.
  • Support business transformation through effective change and project leadership.
  • Coach and advise senior leaders and managers on people management and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and national standards.
Requirements:

Essential:

  • Chartered MCIPD or equivalent HR/OD qualification or significant experience.
  • Proven experience in HR, OD, and workforce planning within a complex, unionised environment.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations and organisational change.
  • Exceptional influencing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment legislation strategically.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within large, multifaceted organisations.
  • Strong understanding of TUPE regulations.
  • Coaching or mediation qualifications highly beneficial.
