Summary

Senior Marine Hull Technician for Marine Lloyd's Broker - City/Hybrid 3 days up to c£60,000

Your new companyYour new role working as a Senior Marine Hull Technician will be working for an established Lloyd's Broker who deals with both insurance and reinsurance, specialising in providing bespoke solutions to support their clients' growth and success. With offices based in the heart of they operate actively in all the major international markets. Due to the growth within the Marine Hull team, a new role as a Senior Marine Hull Technician has arisen.

Your new role

Your new role as a Senior Marine Hull Technician means that you will be responsible for providing technical support and documentation to brokers and clients in relation to all classes of Marine insurance. Liaising with the Accounts Department, broking team, claims department and others where appropriate. Working closely with the brokers, your responsibilities will include producing broker's documentation (MRC slips, endorsements, etc) as well as producing client documentation (cover notes, debit notes etc). Handling client enquiries, maintaining proper files, as well as processing risks into the in-house broking system, calculating and processing premiums and generating debit/credit notes/closings/LPANs. In this role, it is important that you provide guidance and support to any junior member of staff where necessary, along with maintaining and building strong business relationships with markets and clients, contributing to client retention and growth.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Marine Account handler or Marine Technician handling Marine hull and related risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a relevant level of technical knowledge and vast experience in the production of technical documentation to include MRC slips and endorsements. You will also have experience using the insurance Global XB ideally, but this is not essential.
