Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for a part time (30 hours) Band 3 Health Care Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification to join the team on the Renal Ward H3.

Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced in April and July 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour). As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 PRO RATA (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements). This salary point is below the new minimum threshold, and thereforenoteligible for sponsorship. H3 is a 25 bedded, mixed sex ward for patients with varying stages of renal disease. Patients include those on renal replacement programs (Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis). The ward is able to accept and provide care to monitored patients and has their own dedicated procedure room that accommodates elective and non-elective procedures. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team on H3 ensure patients receive the best care and treatment. You will be supported within the role with on-going training which includes the renal foundation programme.

You will possess or working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent the job is both exciting and challenging where team work is essential and initiative is paramount. excellent communication, confidence and compassion are essential along with interpersonal and IT skills.

Salford Royal Hospital is a tertiary centre for Renal patients. Serving Greater Manchester with inpatient, outpatient and in-centre hemodialysis.
