Summary
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Stores / Goods In Operative to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, tools, and components through our manufacturing facility.
The role will be working 36 hours per week across Monday - Thursday. Any additional hours, across Monday to Friday, will be paid at overtime.
Salary is c£25-26,5000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension etc.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and follow all 5S standards.
Oversee goods inwards control, including inspection, recording, and storage of incoming materials.
Manage tools effectively – issuing, tracking, and carrying out regular audits.
Handle material receipt, allocation, and movement within the facility.
Pack and despatch finished goods accurately and on time.
Prepare and issue kits of materials (BOMs) for assembly operations.
Carry out occasional local driving duties for deliveries.
Support production with general tasks such as deburring metal components.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering stores environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
IT literacy, particularly with Excel and MRP systems.
A flexible and proactive approach to ad-hoc tasks.
