Summary
Job title: Self-Employed Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Worcester, WR3
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is an 18-year-old female living in the WR3 area of Worcester who is looking to recruit a Self-Employed Personal Assistant to provide support for 3 hours per week with daily living tasks and activities to build independence, support to build routines and prompting with self-care and support to access leisure activities.
Main duties:
Social duties:
keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Accessing services and organisations in the local community
Accessing the local community and public transport
Support to attend leisure activities
Personal care: support to build routines and prompting self-care.
Domestic duties: support with cooking and domestic chores.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with an understanding of a Mental Health diagnoses, Knowledge and understanding of Neurodivergence, Experience in trauma informed approaches.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 3 hours per week
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous support worker experience
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Good communicator
A good listener
Ability to support people with complex care & support needs.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
