Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a lively 8 year old living in the Llanharan area, I am a very bubbly little girl and I am willing to try anything. I like to be independent and sometimes find it hard to take no for an answer I don’t see much danger and can be clumsy and fall on times. I enjoy lots of things in the outdoors and playing in the park shopping and stopping in McDonald’s. I would like to learn to swim if possible too.
I have learning difficulties and sometimes this makes me angry but never takes away my personality which is very energetic and loving. I tend to run off when I am out so safety is very important.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I would like 2 PA’s to work on a 2:1 basis to give me the opportunity to go outside of my family home and to help me manage my behavior when I am out.
HOURS OF WORK
3 hours per week after school working on a 2:1.
RATES OF PAY
£14.00 per hour + mileage
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Taking me out in the community and keeping me safe at all times and to help me manage my behavior when we are out.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• Male/Female.
• Reliable/Punctual/energetic and willing to keep up with me
• Considerate/Caring/Trustworthy/honest/not easily offended
• Friendly/Chatty/fun loving
• Confident/Proactive/willing to plan our time spent together
• Someone with some knowledge of my disabilities
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
