Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant
Location: Rhydlewis
Hours of work: 10 hours per week
Rate of pay £14.00 per hour
I am a young lady who would like to employ a support worker to assist me with many aspects of my daily life. This will include social activities, hobbies and interests in addition to helping me to develop independent living skills. Applicants need to be comfortable working around animals as this will be a necessary part of the role.
It is essential that my support worker has good organisational skills as they will play a key role in assisting me to create and maintain daily schedules which will provide me with prompts and reminders of daily tasks which need to be completed. This can include reminders to wash and dry clothes, chores about the house, and to clean and feed the animals for example. I will also need assistance with meal planning, shopping for ingredients and support to prepare meals.
Learning good housekeeping skills and routines will help me to develop and maintain my independence.
Having a support worker with local knowledge would be beneficial as I enjoy getting out and about, participating in and finding new activities which may interest me. My support worker may need to assist with navigating to and from these activities helping me familiarise myself with routes and the area.
A tech savvy support worker would be advantageous as I do require assistance with IT related tasks. This may include helping me to use my devices and setting things up, or assistance creating timetables to help me manage my workload when I am doing online courses for example. This will also allow me to develop transferable skills I will be able to use across different devices, in addition to supporting the development of routines.
Hours of work will be agreed in advance; however, flexibility would be beneficial as I may require support in the evening or weekends.
Due to the location, applicants will need access to a vehicle for commuting to and from work
