Summary
Key responsibilities -:
• Working with machinery to produce toughened, laminate and insulated glass products
• Manual handling and lifting (Heavy lifting involved)
• Quality control - checking product meets the clients requirements
• Reading diagrams and checking product is within tolerances
• Use of measuring equipment such as tape measures, verniers and gauges
• Adherence to Health and safety site rules
Skills
• Machine Operation: Ability to operate or learn to operate glass production machinery (e.g., tempering, laminating, insulating lines).
• Understanding of product standards and tolerances, with an eye for defects or inconsistencies.
• Basic Math Skills
• Manual Handling: Comfortable with physically demanding work and heavy lifting.
• Working Days: Monday – Friday (Optional weekend overtime)
• Shift Pattern: Rotation (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm), 10pm-6am
• Machine control systems (training will be provided)
