What you'll do
As a DigitalX & Technology Controls Lead, you’ll apply effective risk management and decision-making capability, anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the relevant business area. In addition, you’ll create a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity through great people leadership, coaching, engagement, and development of skills.
Your role will also involve:
- Maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk appetite using the operational risk framework and material risk measures
- Assessing, reviewing, and implementing the technology controls relating to relevant operational and financial risks
- Leading on risk framework execution for the Financial Crime technology business area as Risk and Control SME
- Supporting the relevant business area in interactions with 2LOD and 3LOD to drive a joined-up view across the 3 lines of defence
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context.
You’ll also have experience maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk and controls using the operational risk framework and material risk measures.
You’ll also need:
- An extensive understanding of the relevant businesses, specifically key products, and technology risks, to enable informed discussions of risk
- Knowledge of technology risks, specifically application related risks and interactions with the infrastructure
- A high-level understanding of conduct risk
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality outcomes, in a fast paced and environment where priorities shift rapidly
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills
- Influencing and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to view the impact of issues from a wider or macro perspective
- The ability to think creatively when resolving problems and identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist
