Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Enhance Academy Trust is looking to appoint an Executive Headteacher to lead two of our primary schools in Kirklees, starting in January 2026.

Lepton CE Primary Academy and Highburton CE First Academy are both thriving schools with delightful well behaved children, supportive parents and committed staff teams. Both are situated close to each other on the border of Wakefield and Huddersfield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented leader to work with two very special communities of children, two Heads of School, staff and parents continuing to lead them on their journey to excellence.

We are interested to hear from inspirational leaders who can provide highly effective leadership, management, support and challenge which promotes the highest standards of achievement and enables both schools to give every pupil the highest quality education.

What the school offers its staff

At Lepton CE Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on developing confident, kind and caring pupils, who have a positive impact in our community and we achieve this through living out our school vision,'Loving, Living, Learning'.

At Highburton CE First Academy, positive relationships are at the heart of the school, and wellbeing is prioritised. The exceptionally strong culture of trust and care enables staff, children and families to flourish. At our school, every person is a rainbow waiting to shine.

As Executive Headteacher, you will be the overall strategic leader who will provide vision, exceptional and outstanding leadership for both schools whilst creating, inspiring and embodying the Christian character and culture of the schools. You will work with all members of the school community, and in particular with both Heads of School who are the visible leaders and responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the school.

Visits to both schools are warmly welcomed and encouraged. To arrange a visit, and to find out more about the role, please contact Mark Randall (CEO) mark.randall@enhanceacad.org.uk
