Are you an expert in NHS Job Evaluation with a commitment to fairness and detail?

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Job Evaluation Specialist to join our Resourcing Team.  This is a pivotal role where you will be the sole subject matter expert, managing the Agenda for Change job evaluation process for our Trust.

This is a part time role offering 25 hours a week, based in our Littlemore office with some opportunity to work in a hybrid manner. 

Main duties of the job

You'll act as the key point of contact for all job evaluation queries, ensuring our pay structures are consistent and equitable. Your work will directly support fair pay and effective workforce planning, ultimately benefiting our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Unbiased Evaluations: Applying the Agenda for Change (AfC) Job Evaluation Scheme and national profiles to conduct objective and accurate evaluations.

  • Expert Guidance: Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, assisting them in drafting new job descriptions and person specifications. You'll provide a clear rationale for all evaluation outcomes.

  • Building Partnerships: Collaborating with managers and trade union representatives in partnership panels to ensure a transparent and fair process.

  • Maintaining Excellence: Keeping meticulous records, managing our job library and database, and conducting self-audits to maintain a clear audit trail. You'll also identify and implement improvements to our local evaluation processes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We are seeking someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is able to manage a busy workload to meet service level agreements. You will need to have a proactive and professional approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

You'll need:

  • Knowledge of the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme.

  • A strong understanding of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.

  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar customer-focused role.

  • Advanced computer skills, including a good grasp of spreadsheets and data extraction.

This role requires travel as needed and the ability to assist with bespoke HR projects.
