About the RoleWaltham Forest College is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy catering team. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, supporting the delivery of high-quality food services to students and staff.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Managing and maintaining kitchen stores
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Performing general kitchen porter duties
- This role requires excellent communication and time management skills, along with a proactive and team-oriented attitude.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a kitchen or catering environment (desirable but not essential)
- Is organised, punctual, and able to work independently
- Can follow health and safety procedures
- Is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
